Supervisory Styles and Teacher Commitment: Implications for Pedagogical Quality

Ghanaians have expressed worries about the commitment of teachers at public pre-tertiary schools, which has resulted in falling educational standards country. highlighted poor supervision as primary cause teachers' commitment, resulting students’ academic performance external examination. The present study examined supervisory styles and teacher senior high schools. Using three schools a Municipality Bono region Ghana point call, this paper provides empirical insights on whether or not headteachers affect commitment. 152 were sampled using proportionate sampling technique. findings indicated that all types perceived to be practiced Inquiry-based supervision, however, was adjudged most type show only clinical significantly contributes prediction It recommended, among other things, school heads create working environment is more supportive, caring, positive, space for regular communication, problem-solving pedagogical quality.
